IELTS Essay Correction: University Education Cost by Individuals.

University Subjects IELTS PTE

University students should pay all the costs of their studies because university education benefits only individuals but not the society as a whole. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

40 minutes, 250 words at lease.

It is argued that college students should pay their full tuition fees as tertiary education is only beneficial only for individuals and not the community (only should be placed with the word it modifies). I disagree with this opinion; I believe that pupils should only pay just (placement of only. Repetition of the word: only) a part of the fees because their education benefits both themselves and the society. (Introduction is fine. Please MENTION the benefits to make it better.)

In my opinion, every student should be responsible for a part of their tuition fees. Firstly, it is the motivation and encouragement for learners to really focus on their study. If they must pay additionally for every course they retake, university students will definitely exert themselves in order to do their best and reach their full potentials. Secondly, universities and colleges are incredibly expensive to operate, and funds need to be allocated to them, from both both from the government and the citizens. Students should provide financial support for the schools they are learning at.

Pupils feel they are of great value if being given financial support from the government. (The English language is fine. However, you have not written any strong point supporting education beneficial for society.)

In conclusion, since tertiary education is inevitably vital for a country’s development, I believe that students should not pay all the costs associated with it. (Whoa whoa whoa! Hold your horses. Not pay? The introduction says Pay just a part of the fees. Conclusion contradictory, too short and unstructured. A mere repetition of the introduction)
