Answer:
Introduction: (A line on the importance of money. You opinion. MENTION the reasons supporting your opinion. EXPLAIN those reasons in the body paragraphs.)
Money is the medium that allows the exchange of goods, and it is important to sustain a livelihood. Though money can bring happiness, I believe beyond a certain threshold money has more disadvantages than advantages. Not only does the concentration of wealth in a few hands leads to extreme social inequality but also, it makes a person greedy, less satisfied and more conceited.
Body Paragraph 1: (EXPLAIN reason 1 supporting your opinion.)
More money in a few hands leads to extreme economic inequality in a society that often contains seeds of discontent and instability. The insane richness of a few and deep poverty of a majority has led to riots and toppled governments in several countries. For instance, the Arab Spring, which was born in Egypt and engulfed a number of North African countries such as Libya, was a result of the concentration of wealth in the hands of the political masters.
Body Paragraph 2: (EXPLAIN reason 2 supporting your opinion)
Beyond social disruptions, excess money also leads to personal deterioration. The law of diminishing returns states that the satisfaction derived from an additional unit of something decreases as the total quantity of that thing increases. The satisfaction derived from money also decreases as the wealth increases. Moreover, extra money also makes a person more conceited and greedy which ultimately harms that person. Various social experiments have proven that children of parents with surplus money have a lower level of empathy and are unable to fit into the society.
Conclusion: (Conclude the essay with FUTURE and IMPACT)
In conclusion, making a society sustainable and healthy requires equitable distribution of wealth such that that money brings happiness to everyone while avoiding the problems associated with excess money.
