You recently stayed at a hotel and had a problem there. Write an email to the manager and describe how the receptionist helped to fix the problem quickly. Include the following in your letter:

– When and where did you stay?
– What was the problem?
– How did the receptionist help you?

20 minutes, 150 words at least.

Dear Manager,

I recently stayed at your hotel in the New York City. Though the stay was pleasant, your staff, unexpectedly, lost my luggage during transit from the reception to the room on the fifth floor. Perhaps they sent it to the wrong room and could not locate it for a long time. (When and Where + Problem)

Since I was in the city for an international conference which was about to begin within one hour of my arrival at your hotel, I was getting anxious. The luggage contained my dress for the seminar. Thankfully, I didn’t put my notes and laptop in the luggage. (Problem)

As I approached the reception to find a solution, the staff jumped into action and Ms. Barnes, one of the receptionist, quickly arranged a suit at the hotel’s expense from a nearby showroom. The suit fit me perfectly and the conference went smoothly. By the time I returned, the luggage was in my room. I thank Ms. Barnes and your hotel’s responsible behavior for saving my day. (How receptionist helped)
