I am incharge of ABC Corporations’s human-resource department in New York. Recently, my department has been overloaded with tasks completely unrelated to its area of expertise. (State the problem with an introduction)
The company has delegated the responsibility of customer care to my department for which it is not trained. We are experts in hiring people with right skills and maintaining their records. However, this new duty is proving taxing on my team’s performance. We are working for more than 15 hours a day and most of that time is devoted to the new tasks. (Highlight the issues)
Recently, the company massively reduced the size of its customer relations department in an attempt to cut overall expenditure. This has negatively impacted the customer relations and in a bid to satisfy customers, this crucial responsibility was transferred to the human-resource department. (Why did it happen?)
This problem can easily be solved by hiring professionals trained in handling customers. This will not only reduce the extra burden on my department but also improve overall experience of the client. (Possible Solution)
