Introduction: (Introduce the topic with a general statement and MENTION the reasons supporting both opinions. EXPLAIN the reasons in the body paragraphs.)
Sports play a crucial role in development of an individual and governments must build sports infrastructure. While some people believe these facilities should be open for professional athletes only since they need dedicated infrastructure to compete with other professionals, others think these should be open to all to promote overall health of a society. (54 words.)
Body Paragraph 1: (Discuss view 1)
Sports facilities should be available for professional athletes only since they have to compete with representatives from other countries. They need more practice and dedicated infrastructure so that they can practice day and night. For instance, government of India established NIS, a sports facility at Patiala, in 1990 to train athletes from various parts of the country. The NIS has helped Indian athletes win medals in Olympics, Asian games and Commonwealth games. (72 words.)
Body Paragraph 2: (Discuss view 2)
On the other hand, sports facilities should be made available to all citizens since this promotes health and overall well being of everyone. For example, John Kennedy stadium in New York was designed for baseball players. However, professional players use it during the season only and it is available for kids and New York residents to play baseball. A recent survey found that the stadium not only keeps the local people fit but also helps create lifelong friendships. (78 words.)
Conclusion: (Use conclusion to state your opinion and end the essay on a positive note)
Despite differing opinions, I strongly believe that governments should design sports facilities for both purposes. While some should be designed for professionals only since they need dedicated infrastructure throughout the year, other should be designed for everyone so that the place can be utilized for general good when it is not being used by professional players.
