IELTS Academic Task 1 Correction: Underground Railway System – 1.
The table below gives information about the underground railway system in six Cities.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given table represents the
data of information about the opening date, length of the route and total passengers in a year about the of underground railway systems in six major cities.
Overall, London has the oldest underground system among the six (/ given cities) and has the longest route while Kyoto has the smallest route length and the least number of passengers per year. Los Angeles
was is (it still ‘IS’) the most recent rail system constructed in 21 st century and Tokyo Kyoto has the least passenger numbers among the six railway systems.
London underground railway system, (need a comma here) which is oldest among the counterparts,
that is opened in the 19th century in 1863 (mention one time period only) has the longest route with 394 km while Kyoto rail system, which started became operational (started operations) in 1981, (need two commas since this is a modifier) has the smallest route length with of only 11 km and also has the least number of passenger per year with only 45 million (no need to state all numbers. Sometimes you just have to express MAIN FEATURES as mentioned in the question.). Tokyo rail system, which is one of the railway systems opened in the early 20th century, (need two commas here since this is a modifier) has the highest number of passengers with 1927 million followed by Paris with 1191 million passengers per year and also has the second longest railway route with of 199 km.
Los Angeles is the recently opened railway in 2001 and has the second lowest passenger number of 50 million and second least route length of 28 million.
