The graph below shows information from a 2008 report about consumption of energy in the United States of America since 1980 with projections till 2030.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The line chart compares energy consumption in quadrillion units by six categories of fuel
(petrol and oil, gas, nuclear, solar or wind hydropower) (please do not use brackets) in the United States of America based on a report from 2008 over a period of fifty years based on a 2008 report. Units are measured in quadrillion. (Please complete the information given in the report before mentioning about the report. Moreover, the units must be placed next to the thing they represent – energy. Do not write a separate sentence.)
Clearly, petrol and oil have been the
most popular (wrong word choice) largest source of energy fuel and are expected to be so in the future the most used type of energy, while energy obtained from solar/wind and hydropower have has (energy = singular) been the least preferred type (type of what?) fuel throughout the period.
Petrol and oil consumption stood at 35 quadrillions in 1980 and followed (Please understand AND’s usage: Petrol and oil consumption (subject) stood (verb) …… AND petrol and oil consumption (subject) followed (verb) …… That is, subject of the sentence connects with both verbs – before and after AND. Is “petrol and oil consumption followed by ….”? I’m sure not.) by a significant increase until the end of the period.
Petrol and oil consumption, which stood at 35 quadrillion units in 1980, increased gradually and (petrol and oil consumption) is expected to reach ….. in 2030.
After petrol and oil, coal and gas have been the second
the most consumed type of fuel. Figures for coal and natural gas began at around 15 to 20 quadrillions and fluctuated until 2015 (I can’t see fluctuations in coal.). After 2015, natural gas consumption expected to be levelled off, while the expectation for coal is a gradual increase. (Please write separate sentences for coal and natural gas.)
The coal consumption increased gradually in the past and is expected to rise consistenly in the future as well. The amount of energy produced from natural gas fluctuated since the 1980 and will stay constanct except from 2010 to 2015.
Nuclear energy, solar and wind energy, and hydropower consumption started at less than 5 quadrillions
, like solar/wind and hydropower. After that While the numbers for nuclear energy slightly increased and are forecasted (use passive voice, otherwise it is past tense) to level off until 2030 . Lastly, , while the figures for solar/wind solar and wind power, and hydropower were similar until around 2008 and are expected (use passive voice, otherwise it is past tense) to remain stable until the end of the period.
