Another language essay: English as global business language.
Many languages fade out each year and according to some, this is not an area of concern because less number of languages ensures easy interaction among people. I strongly disagree with this statement because international and national languages
already not only serve as an uncomplicated means of worldwide interaction . Moreover, regional languages are but also help maintain cultural and social identity of a specific area. (Mention the reasons in the same sentence. Well written.)
Now-a-days, language is not considered as a huge hurdle in communication as it was a few decades ago.
Since languages such as English, who enjoys which enjoy (subject = languages) a global status, not only breaks break international interaction barriers but also ensures ensure easy conversation among natives of different regions within a country (the sentence is incomplete if you use since construction). For example, according to an international language poll held in New York in 2014, about 85 percent of people around the globe voted for English as their spoken language during international interactions. (English falls under the category of FEW LANGUAGES. What about local and regional languages? The paragaph should be about them.)
Moreover, a regional language, which is a sign of any culture’s individuality, helps in defining the true essence of a community. A specific area’s language plays many roles ranging from depiction of social and traditional norms to explanation of art and literature. For instance, according to a research held in Language Department in Oxford University in 2015, regional languages played a vital role in generation of fifty percent of classical literature. (Perfect!)
In conclusion, as international and national languages are a permanent solution to the problem of interaction, our focus should be on the preservation of endangered local and regional
endangered languages. In this way, we can not only explore their roles in preserve/ maintain regional identity but also find their routes role in classic literature.
