I’m an extrovert person (collocation) and I have several friends (collocation). I vividly remember (collocation) the day in 2015 when my best friend, Volkan Arsalan, who (cohesion) belongs to Turkey, needed my urgent help (collocation). Volkan and I were in Canada and his family was arriving from Istanbul to Ottawa. Since (cohesion) they (referencing – cohesion) were new to Canada and did not know anyone, Volkan had applied for a holiday to recieve them at the airport.
However (cohesion), a sudden and unexpected client meeting (collocation) cropped up at the last moment and he was forced to leave for Toronto immediately. Before leaving he requested me to recieve his family and I complied to his wish. Since (cohesion) I had never met any of his family members, I took a placard with the name of his father and drove my car to the airport. After waiting for about an hour at the airport, I finally met his parents and wife and drove them back to his home.
Volkan had helped me at numerous occassions (collocation) in the past and I took his request as a duty. Moreover (cohesion), I was completely free (collocation) that day as (cohesion) I had taken off from the office. I thought it better to help Volkan than stay at home.
