I think this trend has numerous advantages ranging from easy accessibility to the network to immediate access to latest developments. This has few disadvantages such as lesser physical contact with others. I think the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.

Body Paragraph 1: (EXPLAIN the advantage)

The social media websites such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter have made access to friends and relatives extremely easy. A person can contact another person living at a distant place through a Facebook Messenger and learn about other people’s latest interests through Instagram. All this is available on a smartphone and there is no need to travel. Moreover, staying in touch with the latest news is also extremely easy. While Facebook creates a news feed that gives information from immediate friends and surroundings, Twitter is an excellent source of national and international developments. For example, one can follow all British news channels and papers such as The Guardian on Twitter and this provides a minute-by-minute update about latest events in the United Kingdom.

On the flip side, the use of social media is often blamed for a person’s disconnect with his immediate surroundings.
