Global migration of people has tremendously accelerated during the last few decades. Some people think this is beneficial for children as they get international exposure and deeper understanding of diverse cultures. Others think this creates problems for them since they feel alienated in a new environment. I believe in the former view.

Body Paragraph 1: (EXPLAIN the reasons supporting view 1)

When a family settles in a new country, children learn about a new society and economy. This often includes exposure to new social and educational systems as well as business models that are instrumental in shaping a better career. For example, an Indian child who has a significant exposure to the United States not only understands the western business atmosphere but also the native one. Moreover, these children have a better understanding of different cultures and can easily assimilate into them. They not only understand their native culture but also that of a foreign country as they have lived in both countries.

Body Paragraph 2: (EXPLAIN the reasons supporting view 2)

Despite these benefits, sometimes children go through a tremendous feeling of alienation. When their family moves to a new country with a different culture, they are unable to find new friends. This often leads to social isolation and they tend to find refuge in the old culture. This often leads to strong and, sometimes, fundamentalist cultural views. For example, a study of immigrant children in Canada revealed that most of them suffer from anxiety and depression due to social isolation in schools.

In conclusion, though new migration of families may lead to a sense of alienation among children, they get numerous opportunities to shape a bright future and learn about diverse cultures. This makes them economically prosperous and creates a stable and peaceful society.
