Describe a situation when you took a good photograph. Please say
– When and where was it?
– Who was there with you?
– Why did you take it? How is it special?
Answer:
Since we are living in a world crazy about selfies, let me write an answer on a selfie photograph. I’m sure all students, irrespective of age and occupation, will find this useful.
Invest one minute in brainstorming about this topic’s questions. If you’ve not read my advice on developing each answer in a proper way, please read the lesson on speaking.
PLUS, you can implement the idea of collocations in this answer. Here is the link to a truly useful article: Lessons in speaking – collocations.
I love taking pictures using my smartphone’s 24-megapixel camera. Last week I took a wonderful picture at my school’s reunion in Ottawa, Canada. (When and Where?)
Though I was born and educated in the Canadian capital, I have been working in Asia for the last 8 years. So, the reunion of my school friends was a special event. I decided to capture this occasion with my smartphone camera. My classmates, several of whom work in different countries, took a selfie as a memento (a souvenir). (Who was there? Why take it?)
The photograph is nice since it has 22 people, including me, in the frame. It elicits the feeling of nostalgia about the beautiful days we all spent together years ago. I love these smiling faces so much that I’ve framed the picture and kept it in my office. (Why is it special?)
