Overall, for boys highest percentage is for computer games at third of the total at 34%, whereas girls participation is in the dancing just over quarter at 27% and for boys same proportion is for basketball. (The overall statement is for maximum and minimum in this case.) Both boys and girls share similar participation in listening to at 10%. While girls spend the least amount of time listening to music, boys spend only 2% of the time on reading.

As I’ve stated in numerous Youtube videos and articles on task 1 (academic module) – this is not an exam for numbers. You’re supposed to mention MAIN TRENDS. If you really want to mention numbers, be accurate in integrating them in your sentences. You’ve distorted the sentence structure in an attempt to add numbers. Overall, boys spent more than one-third of their time in playing computer games and girls spent more than a quarter of their time dancing. While girls spend the least amount of time listening to music, boys spend only 2% of the time on reading.

Other activities, boys participation in skateboarding is at 11%, while it is not in the list of girls activities. It is replaced (no activity can replace the other activity) with netball for girls at 15%. By way of contrast girls participation in reading is just below quarter at 21% and boys participation is least in this activity at 2%. Boys participation in soccer and girls participation in gymnastics is 17% and 11% respectively.

Okay. You’ve just stated the numbers and I can’t see any organization in the answer. Let me propose a structure:

1. Write on boys only, excluding maximum and minimum since you’ve already stated this in the overall part. Write this in the descending order. Boys spend about a quarter of their time playing basketball and this is followed by playing soccer, doing skateboarding and listening to music.

2. Write on girls only, excluding maximum and minimum since you’ve already stated this in the overall part. Write this in the descending order. Girls spend a significant amount of time on reading. This is followed by an almost the same duration of time on computer games and netball. These are followed by gymnastics.

3. Now write a comparison of both: The same percentage of boys and girls listen to music. While boys are not engaged in dancing, gymnastics, and netball, girls do not follow skateboarding, basketball, and soccer. The percentage of boys playing computer games are double of the percentage of girls doing this activity. Finally, the percentage of boys reading books is less than one-tenth of the girls doing this activity.
