Means VS Modes Of Transport

A lot of people often confuse the means of transport with modes of transport. They are very different and CAN NOT be used interchangeably.

MODES = Different ways of transport.

Now, WAYS includes infrastructure, vehicles, and operations. Modes of transport refer to air, water, and land transport. Land transport includes rail and road transport (their infrastructure, vehicles, and operations)

MEANS = vehicles

That is, MEANS is only a part of the MODES.

While the road is a mode of transport, a Mercedes car is the means of transport.
