IELTS Letter Correction: Work For International Company.

You work for an international company and would like to spend six months working in its head office in another country.

Write a letter to your manager. In your letter 

  1. Explain why you want to work in the company’s head office for six months
  2. say how your work could be done while you are away
  3. ask for his/her help in arranging it

Answer:

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Himan Dhawan, (No need to mention your name in the introduction.) a senior iPhone developer in your team. (I have been working as a senior iPhone developer in your team for the last five years.) I am writing this letter to get permission from you seek your permission to work in the US head office for the next six months.

Recently, I shifted to a project, which deals with US clients. I am not able to understand the project‘s details since its core classes are written in the Swift language. There is a strong need to get knowledge transfer sessions from US developers to start working quickly on it, which is not possible at in India due to the risk of leaking confidential information in during the video call.

In my absence in India’s office, Rajiv is undertaking the responsibility to deliver the updates of our current project to our client in Brazil. In case of any emergency, I will be available to co-ordinate with him at remotely from the US office.

I would (wrong use of wouldrequest you to please talk to the Human Representative team Resource department so that they can arrange the tickets as soon as possible.
